Levi is such a sweet and silly boy who melts my heart everyday. I don’t know if some of his new actions are really habits but they are fun to watch. He’s quite the character.
For months every time Levi wanted something he would say “na-na”. Well, for a week or so I worked with him to say “ma-ma please” when he wanted something. It hasn’t really caught on other than instead of saying “na na” he now says “ma ma”. It makes it sound like he wants me for everything.
Levi will go to the fridge when he wants milk to drink. He knows that is where I keep his and Nathan’s sippy cups. If you open the fridge to give him his milk he won’t leave (and will actually get mad) if he doesn’t get both sippy cups. He’s a double fisted drinker! Let’s hope it’s not a precursor to his college days.
Levi’s obsession with shoes has not weaned any. He loves Nathan’s crocs and wears them every chance he gets. Oddly enough he ALWAYS puts them on the wrong feet. He’s got a 50/50 chance in getting it right but they never end up that way.
Levi has moved on to the next phase in climbing up and down stairs. Instead of crawling up and down the stairs he wants to walk like a big boy. He will hold on to the wall and often try to reach the rail (scares me all the time as that’s how Nathan fell down the stairs when he was 2). He’s getting pretty good but it still worries me so we still use our baby gates and follow him carefully.
Levi has been working on his balancing lately. Not only walking along the edging to the garden (which is safe) he also tries to walk on the retaining wall (not safe – sorry no pictures as I’m usually running to catch him so he won’t fall). He hasn’t learned safe heights vs. unsafe heights yet.
With as busy as he keeps me running around he knows the take time to stop and smell the flowers.
